introduction to open water swimming

This 2 hour session includes a theory element, practical swim and coffee and cake afterwards. It is run by our Wellbeing Swim Coach Gem, who will guide you through the physiological effects and benefits of open water swimming.

It is suitable for beginners or lake regulars who want to build on their understanding, so that they can feel empowered and more confident in the water.

We will start in our stretch tent for orientation and theory and move into the beautiful lake for a gentle swim. Your session ends with a warming drink and delicious cake, giving you time to reflect on your experience and ask Gem any questions.

What to bring:
Swim costume / trunks
Towel
Appropriate clothes for the weather

Wearing a wetsuit is optional. Please contact us if you would like to try and arrange hiring wetsuit from an outside company.
