YOGA SESSIONS
Our Hatha sessions are suitable for all levels, beginners and those with an established practice. A typical class will include breathwork, postures, meditation and relaxation with sound.
Ashtanga is a strong, disciplined practice but is adaptable to all levels and those eager to grow their practice and evolve body, mind and spirit.

BREATHWORK
Cosy and ambient, these sessions are all about bringing yourself back to your breath and slowing things down to regulate your nervous system. No experience is required and everyone is welcome from beginner to expert.

SOUND BATH
Sophie’s sound baths give you a chance to rebalance, reconnect and relax. Sophie will guide you through a grounding breathwork and meditation practice, and take you on an immersive journey through sound. Yoga & Sound with Sophie
Sophie has been practicing Yoga & Meditation for over 20 years. She teaches yoga from the Hatha tradition and is also qualified to teach Yoga Nidra (Yogic Sleep), an ancient transformative meditation practice. She has a particular interest in how we can incorporate these ancient practices into our daily lives, to help us manage, process and work through the many challenges we all face with awareness, mindfulness and self-compassion.
Sophie’s classes are suitable for all levels, beginners and those with an established practice and she offers modifications and props to encourage students to listen to their bodies and practice mindfully.
A typical class at Watersedge will include pranayama (breathwork), asana (postures), meditation and relaxation with sound. Classes will give you the opportunity to practice in nature connecting with your body, breath, and inner self on a deeper level, creating a greater personal awareness and feeling of mental and physical strength, clarity and ease.
We will celebrate our beautiful landscape and offer classes that take advantage of the changing seasons, holding sunrise and sunset specials overlooking the lake.
Sophie’s sound baths give you a chance to rebalance, reconnect and relax.
Beginning with gentle seated yoga postures to release any tightness in the body, Sophie will then guide you through a grounding breathwork and meditation practice. You will then settle, laying down while she plays crystal and zen singing bowls, enchanting koshi chimes and wind gong taking you on an immersive journey through sound. The sound these instruments create is deeply soothing and works on a cellular level to calm and relax the physical, mental and energy body.
